The Next Movement

Bring critical thinking to your young people, through cartoons.

We design programmes with schools, NGOs, embassies, universities and museums. No one-size-fits-all.

Peace and Justice

Ambassadors and cartoonists give guest lectures at schools worldwide, and young people draw their own answers.

A tall mural on the side of a Johannesburg building shows a figure in blue with raised arms, surrounded by colourful speech bubbles.

South Africa

A city invited to share its vision of the future, and one idea became a mural in Johannesburg.

Who we work with

  • Schools

Bring a workshop to your classes and let students draw their own answers.

  • NGOs and youth organisations

Run a youth programme where young people make cartoons with professional cartoonists.

  • Embassies and ministries

Start a dialogue with young people abroad, as in our work with Dutch embassies.

  • Universities

Co-run a cartoon competition around a theme and a region, as in the Western Balkans.

  • Museums and cultural institutions

Host an exhibition with cartoons from our network and from your participants.

Five ways to work together

  • Workshops

Critical thinking through cartoons, in the classroom or online.

For classes, youth groups and teachers.

  • Youth programmes

Young people create cartoons together with professional cartoonists.

For young people and their organisations.

  • Exhibitions

Physical or virtual, with work from our network and from participants.

For museums, schools, embassies and universities.

  • Cartoon competitions

Open calls around a theme, like the Western Balkans Cartoon Prize.

For institutions with a theme and a region.

  • Online campaigns

Cartoons and dialogue on the platforms young people actually use.

    For organisations that want reach.

What we bring, what you bring

We bring

  • A worldwide network of cartoonists
  • Exhibitions, physical and online
  • A method built on open questions
  • Cartoons for online campaigns

You bring

  • Local knowledge
  • Access to young people, and their trust
  • A place to work
  • A network around you

We build programmes as equals. You are a co-designer, not an executor.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Intro call

We listen to your context, your young people and what you want to change.

  2. Step 2

    Co-design

We shape the programme together. Your local knowledge sits next to our method.

  3. Step 3

    Delivery

We run it together, with cartoonists and your people side by side.

  4. Step 4

    Making results visible

An exhibition, an online showcase or a report, whichever serves you.

Working in sensitive contexts

We ask open questions and do not impose conclusions. Local partners shape the context. There is no wrong answer.

Questions partners ask

What does a programme cost?

Every programme is tailored. Scope, format and length decide the budget. We often co-apply for project funding with our partners.

Which languages can you work in?

We work in English by default. Tell us in your inquiry which language your young people use and we will look at what is possible.

How long does a programme take?

We set the length with you during co-design. Scope and format decide it.

Online or in person?

Both. Workshops and campaigns can run online, and exhibitions can be physical or virtual.

Which ages do you work with?

Tell us the age group in your inquiry. We adapt format and topics to it.

Tell us what you have in mind

A few lines is enough. We reply by email and suggest a time to talk.
